Refund Policy – Aladi Academy

Following global e-learning industry standards, Aladi Academy refund policy is designed to be fair while protecting the integrity of our digital course content.

  • Cooling-Off Period: You may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase, provided that you have not logged in to the LMS or accessed any course materials.
  • No Refund After Access: Once you have accessed the course content, the purchase is considered final and non-refundable.
  • Technical Issues: If you experience technical difficulties that prevent you from accessing the course, please contact us within 7 days, and we will investigate and may offer a refund at our discretion.
  • How to Request: All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to admin@aladiacademy.org.

Refunds, where approved, will be processed within 7–14 business days. The courses are self-paced and digital, we adopt the "7-day cooling-off with no access" model as it is the most globally accepted and defensible standard. For instructor-led or live components, we use a sliding scale based on notice period before the start date.

Global Industry Standard on Refund Terms

Globally, there is no single mandatory refund rule for short courses, our partners use three dominant standards that balance consumer protection with the unique nature of digital content delivery.

The Three Standard Models

  1. The "Cooling-Off" Window (7–30 Days): Voluntary cooling-off period during which learners can request a full refund. The global norm ranges from 7 to 30 days from the date of purchase. In many jurisdictions, this right applies only if the digital content has not yet been accessed or downloaded.
  2. The "No Access = Refund" Principle: Refunds are granted only if the learner has not logged in to the LMS or accessed any course materials. Once access is granted, the course is generally deemed delivered and non-refundable.
  3. Conditional Refunds (Completion Thresholds): Conditional refunds on some courses based on progress thresholds for example, a refund may be available if the learner has completed less than 20% of the course content.

Exceptions and Industry Nuances

  • Strictly Non-Refundable: Many short course providers operate a strictly non-refundable policy as standard for recorded content and downloadable materials.
  • Institutional Discretion: Some institutions reserve the right to offer refunds on a case-by-case basis for technical issues.
  • Administrative Fees: Where refunds are permitted, a small administrative or payment processing fee (e.g., 5%) may be deducted.
  • Regulatory Requirements: Certain regions, such as the EU, provide statutory cooling-off periods (e.g., 14–30 days) that platforms must honour.
